SEPTEMBER 14- NOVEMBER 9th: YOGA ANATOMY: A MINI COURSE

  • The Ivy Yoga School (map)

The goal of this program is to "uncomplicate" anatomy as we apply it to yoga asanas, making the study of our body easy and practical.

The program focuses on the study of the connective tissue and how it affects flexibility; on the functioning of the major structures of the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) and how anatomical variations affect practice; on the vertebral column and how to prioritize its integrity in practice; and on the integration of all this into understanding the core.

For a proper understanding of the yoga asanas, the course will be approached without losing sight of the individual as a whole. We will not only look at the physical, but also the energetic, emotional and spiritual aspects.
